Many cultural events take place in Greece all year round. Most famous is the Athens Epidaurus Greek Festival, with events in the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and the Herodeion Theatre in Athens. Such festivals with music, concerts, theatre performances, lectures and custom revivals take place in all Greek islands and towns, usually in summer, presenting the local culture and occasionally hosting international participation.
